Banff National Park Take One

We stayed in Calgary, Alberta last night with the plan to do Banff today, but it turned out that Mom forgot her cellphone in our room, so we did a lot of retracing our steps. It worked out okay, though, because we found a room in the town of Canmore, just a few kilometers outside the park, and stopped early for once. Right now, I am sitting in an armchair listening to a thunderstorm over the Rockies, the rain trickling down a drainage spout outside our first floor window. I just finished some decaf coffee (in a real mug!) and a chocolate chip muffin. It is a much-appreciated rest after a week on the road.
